Text effects are a new feature in Microsoft Office 2010. With text effects you can edit certain text to your document by adding outlines, shadows, reflections, glowand 3-d rotations. You wouldn’t necessarily use it on a whole document. You would use it on words that you wanted emphasis on or titles or documents such as flyers orsigns to grab the intended audiences’ attention.
