A Purpose Statement
The primary goal of the research is to determine the usefulness of appointing female coaches to male teams. The nature of the topic explores the benefits or issues associated with appointing female coaches to male teams which is a growing trend in conventional sports. The focus of the research will be on whether the appointments introduce any identifiable impacts or usefulness.
Research Questions
Data will be collected and analyzed with the aim of answering the following research questions.
- Is it useful for female coaches to be appointed to male teams?
- Are there any benefits or issues associated with appointing female coaches to male teams?
- Does appointing female coaches to male teams introduce more benefits than challenges?
The research process will be designed in a manner that answers the two questions while also avoiding any notable confounding variables. As can be seen, the research processes such as methodology will be guided by the research questions. Processes such as design of questionnaires will be informed by the research questions.
Research Design and Methodology
A descriptive research design will be employed. It is the design that is adopted by a researcher who is looking forward to describing a situation under a research study (Kothari, 2009). In this case, the researcher will be aiming at describing whether there is any usefulness when female coaches are appointed to male teams. A quantitative methodology will be employed in data collection and analysis. Sampled participants will be presented with questionnaires which they will be requested to honestly respond to. The data collected will be analyzed in a manner that will address the questions while also enabling generalization.
