I used the one for prevention over the standard PICOT as I am focusing on an intervention of adverse event reduction compared to the remedy or treatment of an illness or problem. I selected staff nurses in primary care settings such as hospitals and medical centers as my population as they are at increased risk for adverse events and are larger in population compared to nurses in clinics and community health settings. I selected safety culture as my intervention as studies have increased on its implementation, but could still use more research to contribute to further findings.
