The persuasion process follows five steps namely establishing credibility, acknowledging the position of the audience, constructing rationale, transplanting root elements, and seeking for response (Kirby, Goodpaster & Levine, 1999).

Considering the fact that my critical thinking paper focuses on the negative impact of war on terror, establishing credibility will enhance the process of convincing people/states on the need to apply the right techniques when fighting terrorism.
