Develop a student’s ability to read and understand the empirical research done in the area of finance and related areas

The final project for this course is the creation of an Annotated Bibliography with entries for ten relevant resources. Resources include, but are not limited to, peer-reviewed journal articles. Other resources include blogs, webcasts, and software tutorials. The final product represents an authentic demonstration competency, because the goal of the supplementary readings project in this course is to give students the practice to read and understand the empirical research done in the area of finance. The project is divided in to ten milestones, which will be submitted at various points throughout the course to scaffold learning and ensure quality final submissions. These milestones will be submitted in Modules One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight, Nine, and Ten.

To successfully complete this project, you will be expected to apply what you have learned in this course and should include several of the following course outcomes:

Main Elements
Students will submit an Annotated Bibliography including ten sources relevant to research in the area of finance. The Annotated Bibliography will include the following:
Annotation of three pre-selected articles
Annotation of a minimum of four peer-reviewed journal articles dealing specifically with the application of econometrics to empirical finance
Annotation of a minimum of one item dealing with the topic of data visualization
Annotation of a minimum of two articles of the student’s choice
Competed Annotated Bibliography including at least ten sources. Annotated Bibliography must be in proper APA formatting.
