Description: The paper should delve fairly deeply into some aspect of biology as it relates to your chosen field of study. Since most of you are social science majors or
are planning on that route, many of you may choose to relate some biological topic to social problems/social solutions. And so forth…There are lots of
ways in which biology and social sciences impact each other, especially in reference to humans, which are by nature social critters. Other examples from
other fields may also be used. Create it to your own collegiate direction and you’ll enjoy it more! Your paper should use outside references (try to limit
the web page references if used). A mere opinion paper will get you only a C if it is magnificently written. I want you to take the time to explore your
topic much more thoroughly than an introductory textbook ever could. Your paper will be graded on writing mechanics as well as content, and especially
your ability to analytically think and logically present a problem and possible solutions. Donât fall into the trap of just asking lots of questions and letting
them hang there on the page—a politician or reporter can do that just fine. Go beyond this level, critically analyze, ask questions and LOOK FOR
SOLUTIONS—that is the mark of a great paper, one that will get you a great grade and provide you with insight as well.
